What The "Public" Is Saying About Arctic Armor

"I just got a suit for my father and myself. I have several friends that want to order them now that they have seen ours.”

"They are just a very warm, very comfortable suit and the piece of mind you get knowing the suit floats is well worth the price.”

"Worth its weight in gold in my opinion!!!”

"You really can't put a price on being comfortable on the hard water.”

"In other words, well worth the money.”

"How much is your life worth? That piece of mind is priceless to me. As the old adage goes, there is no such thing as safe ice.”

"Get it!! Those suits are awesome. No doubt about it worth the price.”

"A great investment, how often can you say that about a product you get to have fun with.”

"Absolutely great, I have had mine 2 seasons and wouldnt wear anything else.”

"One question you really should ask yourself is what kind of ice fishing would you really like to do???? Not what you do now, but what would you like to do in the seasons to come?”

"If your fishing consists of sitting in the wheel house, heat blasting, tv on, tunes cranked up all weekend, then in all honesty, AA may not be what you need.”

"If you are like me, and like to move around a lot, run and gun, or sit on a hot hole outside, then AA is worth it's weight in gold. Warm and dry baby, that's what it's all about for me. Wearing AA instead of carharts and 5 sweatshirts has given me the ability to move around much more because I'm that much more comfortable. If it's nasty out and the other guys are willing to sit in the portable on a non-existant bit cuz they don't want to move, that's their deal. I want to catch fish and wearing my AA makes me lightweight, warm, dry, and keeps the wind off me.”

"If you break through, you will float. That in itself is a huge plus if you like early or late ice.”

"An unexpected bonus that I’ve found is how much I’ve used my AA in the open water season. I spent approx 12-14hrs on the water this weekend driving several miles in the freezing temps, and I was always comfortable (except for maybe my toes, time for new boots I guess). It’s amazing how wind proof the material is.”

"So if you do any early or late season open water fishing, the suit will come in handy.”

"I use mine in open water all the time. I got the camo so use it for hunting as well and then there is the ice. The fact it floats is Priceless to me. Great suit and you won't be sorry to get one.’

"I remember when they had these bad boys on the news..and a guy purposely went through the ice to show how they could save your life..”

"You can't go wrong in buying it for all the same reasons as listed above. I use it winter and cold summer days in the boat.”

"They also made a limited run of Green/Yellow..Packer colors. and A simple answer to the original question..YES it is worth the money”

"I use it 3 seasons, during the summer I already had a good set of rain gear. But great for spring, fall and winter, plus it floats, not so sure about the guide wear for what 200 bucks more that AA?”

"I have not heard any negative feedback on the Artic so far and it seems to be a way better price, defenitly looks like the way to go. One more question where do the make the product? USA or somewhere across the pond?”

"Perchjerker was right on because I am 6' and about 255 and I have a XXL jacket and bibs but should have got a XL jacket.”

"I have the camo pattern and was mad at myself for leaving them up at the cabin when they should have come deer hunting with me because of the high winds my legs got chilly. This never happened last winter going across the lake on my 4 wheeler when it was below zero !”

"Definately worth the money! Some of the lightest, warmest gear I own, plus as mentioned before.....it floats.”

"This product is so well worth the money that you spend on it. I wish i would have had one for the last 15 years.”

"Great product and like i said, well worth the money.”

"I have said it many times. Light and warm and its great all year round. I use it spring , fall and winter fishing. Too warm for summer. I also use it snowmobiling and its great. Plus the reflective material makes it easy to see people with a flashlight or sled lights when riding your sleds on the ice.
Some of the best money, if not the best, I have spent on cold weather clothing ever.
And yes it floats.”

"This will be the third year for my artic armor jacket and bibs... would not be with out one...I have the red..no problem with liner in mine...I am 5-10...235 lbs...xL in the jacket...2xL in the bibs...”

"Shack, you wont be sorry! I got the camo suit, I have been wearing it out hunting. It is nice, its not bulky, and it is warm! I have been in the rain with it, and it never soaked through to me, I stayed dry. I see it as a 3 season coat!”

"Most days all I wear is my Underarmour and some fleece sweats and a fleece shirt. I really like how it feels so light when moving around. You don't have that all that weight (pair of Carhartts)to lug around.”

"Got my plus suit the other day from a local ely store.”

"Wore it out today for some ice fishing.”

"Man is that suit warm!! i had my jacket either off or un zipped the entire time...it was in the teens today here in ely...the knee pads are great kept me dry and warm.”

"If you can get to a place to try it on...do it”

"Great suit. only thing about the plus suit is that your clothes dont slide as smoothly as they would with the nylon linning. you just have to take you time putting the suit on.”

"Overall great suit...and the peace of mind that if floats when im sitting on little ice is priceless.”

"To answer your question after i just bought one of these today is yeah they are well worth it...they are warm and way lightweight...so lightweight u wonder how its so warm...i haven't got to test her out yet in the extremes though.”

"They are comfy and you can use them for more then just ice fishing...like tomorrow i'm gonna wear mine to go sight in my muzzleloader...walk the dog...shovel snow...river fishing on shore or in the boat...any cold weather situation really.”

"I noticed the plus suits seem to be sized different then the camo...i was trying them both on trying to decide and the large seemed like the comfy size in the camo but needed a XXL in the plus...i went with the plus since i have tons of scent blocker suits for hunting.”

"I'm 6'1 200 lbs..so if your similar to me i'd go large in the camo but bump it up a size for the plus...not sure on the red suit i didn't try that one on.”

"But yeah i'm happy with the purchase forsure....and it floats...thats pricless really.”

"On another note, I thought I lost my jacket a week ago, and was almost depressed, I like it so much. But low and behold, my bro found it in the dry storage in our boat, so I am sleeping better at night now. Will be wearing it this weekend if all goes well.”

"No. The Ice Armor suit is made by the Clam Corp. A very nice suit but it doesn't float one if you fall in like the Arctic Armor. The IA is not as warm for the weight.”

"Yeah your gonna love your suit....tested mine out sighting in the muzzleloader yesterday and it was plenty warm..granted it wasn't -10 and not standing on a block of ice...i like all the pockets and if you zip up and flip the hood up you can hide your whole face in there.”

"After that me, my dog and my buddy went to a local lake to walk around shore and see the ice condition...we had about 3 inches...everything was good until me and my buddy stood by eachother and the 100lb dog came over and it cracked...it made a crack atleast a 1/4 mile each way.”

"Never seen a crack get made like that...it was crazy...we didn't sink and we were only in 3ft of water...but yeah we turned around and decided to wait another week to test it lol...be safe out there...a few fish isn't worth a life.”

"I just got a new Arctic Armor Plus suit today. Tried it on and it fit perfect. Can't wait to try this out in the cold weather. I'm 6', 180 and got the bibs and jacket in size large.”

"One of the main reasons I bought the Arctic Armor was I thought it would be great to wear in the boat for late fall and early spring fishing trips.”

"I got the Arctic Armor XL jacket and bibs in Camo this early Fall. I'm 6' 190' lbs and like the fit. There is room for added layers but still not baggy without layers.”

"I used the jacket in the duck blind and it is warm. Its nice to be dressed for cold weather and not have the bulk and weight most jackets have. Lots of pockets to stash away things that would normally need to be put in a pack. This suit is going to be very nice for running and gunning this ice season. While setting out decoys in the dark, the AA a added feature of flotation was a reassurance. Just a note its not a Coast Guard approved.”

"It was a cold deer season up here. I wore the bibs with just long underwear underneath and I stayed toasty warm in the stand. I hunt with my son and he doesn't have Arctic Armor so 4 hours mornings was all we could stay out.”

"I'll admit it, I got my suit thbis year and I love it. Four generations of wool just got shot dowm by Artic Armor Insultex...pretty cool stuff.”

"It really is amazing stuff, almost "have-to-see-it-to-believe-it" when you're talking about how lightweight and not bulky it is, even with all that warmth.”

"I used mine last ice season, and fall fishing on Leech. The wind blocking and low weight are the major benefits of the Insultex. The only caution I have is it cannot take high heat at all. I had my elbow over a small Sunflower heater and melted a hole in my jacket. The company sent me some fabric, I went to a tailor shop and they patched for 20 dollars, hardly notice spot. What is really great about it is kneeling on wet ice in spring sight fishing, stayed dry, which did not happen with my old Carharts.”

"Worth every penny.”

"You'll love the suit.”

"Hoggs222 You are going to really like this suit. It is very light but very warm and wind proof. You can't believe how much I missed my AA thru out deer hunting and now I have made a couple of photo excursions and I froze my buns while trying to sit still all the while the wind is going right thru me. It was so warm there for a while I figured there was no need for it so I left it at the cabin for ice fishing but that will never happen again. I have the camo version for hunting and photography.”

"I have the camo set and its well worth the money!!!
I agree they can get to warm at times with much movement. I just unzip the jack and bibs or take the jacket off if needed when walkig in then put it back on as i cool off. I have spent lots of days running and gunning (hopping holes)kneeling on the ice, slush, water and the cold and water never came through the knees! UNBELIEVEABLE!!! thats all I can say.
Now maybe I need to become a dealer!!! No one in Iowa that I know off yet.”

"Thanks for all the input on the AA, after reading how warm and comfy they are I ordered the other half a suit for X-mas, it'll be great not only for fishing but he also likes to do plowing with the four wheeler. And since he checks out different lakes alone many times the flotation feature was the biggest selling points.”

"Coon I have never had any moisture come through mine ever and they are waterproof just like the red and green. I kneel on the ice and have not worn any holes yet but most of the time I like to have a boat cushion around just to save my knees from sharp ice chunks.”

"Coon Like jimalm said! I to have the camo and have tried to put them through the test. pop all kinds of holes and run around to each one searching for echos to show up on the finder dropping down my search lure (silver/orange kast master)kneeling on my knees and have never had the cold or water come through! Now if you kneel in the same spot to long they kind of want to freeze down but no problems with wear yet. But with any cloth type material its going to happen! To me they dont realy absorbe much water and dry quick. I cant compare to the others because I only have the camo. All i can say is ive had other sets (Gortex)and couldnt kneel in the slush and ice like I can now.
P.S. Take this for what you will but I've been reading this site since abut 2000 and just receilently joined because of all the great input I saw from other FM'ers THANKS to ALL of YOU!
The good, bad, and ugly reviews on products have been great and help alot in my choices!
The rave reviews have been right on!! cant tell you of the bad because I dont buy unless I mist a review!”

"ON the sizeing they run big in some ways! I am 6'1" only 150lb 32 waste 42chest and bought med/med. I need 34-35" lenght in the legs, and the bottoms fit well but I wich they had Talls! I do kind of swim in the tops. But using the sinching strings it works.”

"Yup it floats. I had to see for myself, don't ask how or why but I just had to see first hand to believe.”

"What is crazy about it is how fast it drops the water out of the suit, now anything else stays wet and heavy...along with deadly in the cold temps. The Artic Armor suit dropped the water and actually was retaining a bit of warmth. A guy would have a chance to keep moving and get to safety unlike another type material that holds the water and weighs you down as it freezes solid.”

"The suit paired up with my Mickey boots made me feel like a duck...a really cool duck in a red suit.”

"So I guess the question was if Artic Armor is worth it...well what is your life worth? I am thinking on ice road crews should be wearing these things all the time.”

"Coon-
I have worn and owned the red, camo and now green Plus.”

"From what I understand (and my suits) the camo version has less padding in the knees and your "seat" areas. You can still kneel down on the ice fine. The outer layer may absorb more water, but it's not a big deal. Water will not penetrate thru the Insultex insulation. The camo suit also holds onto moisture more, and it doesn't wick off as well as the red/green fabric.”

"The Plus A.A. suit is by far the warmest and it is very comfortable to wear.”

"I am 5' 11", around 230lb's and for the Plus suit the XL fits like a glove, with extra room to grow in the mid section ”

"Best purchase of the year for me!”

"Yep got the Camo one, fits great. Can't believe how warm they are for being so light.”

"If anything, it's quite the opposite and any dissatifaction I've heard is that the suit it TOO WARM.”

"I've NEVER worn anything more than a pair of long underwear and jeans/sweatshirt and at times not even the long underwear.”

"I am about 6' 220 and with 25 degree temps and light wind I bet I could go in my "Birthday Suit" underneath and still be warm”

"I've worn my Camo AA in some pretty good winds and there is no doubt it stops the wind. INSULTEX™ is some amassing stuff. As far as layering I think its going to be up to the individual user and of coarse temps. So far I can see eliminating some of the under thicker layers needed with conventional outer winter gear. Keep in mind because of the properties of INSULTEX™ you've eliminated a lot of bulk and weight right off the bat.”

"The last two days we made some really good ice and I was toasty warm. I didn't even run my heater at all on Saturday or Sunday. Sweat pants, longsleved t shirt with regular tshirt and a hoodie underneath my Arctic Armor. Heaven. Like others said, I actually took my coat off after I had walked a ways to new holes. I sat in my one man portable with no heat and can honestly say I was very comfortable, with the exception a couple times of my hands. But that was because I was taking my gloves off all the time. Arctic Armor is wonderful for the pure fact that you don't have to feel like the Michelin Man all bulked up in a suit to fish. It was quite windy this weekend and my AA won the test with ease!”

"For extra warmth in the wind tieghten the draw strings to keep the wind from entering the jacket from the bottom? I just got mine this year, anytime I have worn mine in the wind, I was more then warm.”

"I would also not call buying an Arctic Armor suit a "substantial investment", but more as an economical life saving investment. Now if it where $600-$1000 like other suits that do not even float you, it would be different, but still I would think for that little of money and having a major "life saving" features would still put AA in the very economical category”

"I wore mine out this morning cleaning the driveway. I know it was not below 0, but I stayed very warm and very comfortable.”

"I just purchased the suit at the Show and tried it out on Saturday night. I also felt that it was getting a little drafty up my back, of course I hadn't realized that there were draw strings to fix the problem. I've been using the jacket the last couple days and it does seem to be warm. I'm sure with a t shirt and hoodie underneath I'll be as warm as I'll ever need to be.”

"Not to much when one drowns and ones family is left without their family member though.”

"Its kind of like people I see racing and go with a cheap fire suit, when they have a fire and get burnt badly, they then wish they would have purchased a better suit to maybe have saved a limb.”

"A guy who just bought a set of Arctic Armor from me passed this tidbit my way ..... his new set of Arctic Armor weighs less than 6 lbs, his old set of Ice Armor weighs almost 9 lbs. That's a great example of what we mean when we say Arctic Armor is lightweight and not bulky.”

"I just got back from the ice...it was in the upper teens then dropped down to about 10 degrees and i stood on the ice with no shack and didn't do any run n gunning...i had on just a pair of sweat pants, a tshirt, and a hoodie, no longjohns or anything and i stayed warm...got a little chilly after the sun went down but i was out there since 11 am.”

"Everyone is different when it comes to the cold...i know personally i can handle cold better then alot of people so i can wear less underneath...someone like my buddy might need an extra layer.”

"I've yet to pull any of the bungee strings tight anywhere on the suit yet or wear the hood for anything more then just to check it out...i'd imagine if i put on an extra layer or two underneath and did that i could just about handle anything....on my drive home i was thinking to myself how it feels like i'm wearing a wind breaker jacket because how light it feels.”

"Imo the thing that really sets it apart from anything else is it can float...thats huge to me for early and late season..i'll still use the same caution but what if i did fall through and stepped in the wrong spot at the wrong time...i like knowing i have a real good chance of getting out and surviving instead of sinking like a rock.”

"Like right now the ice is kinda "iffy" in some spots..i could step in the wrong spot...it could happen to anyone.”

"My buddy who is a cold baby actually stayed out there the whole time and didn't whine about being cold so thats a miracle lol...not sure how he dressed underneath.”

"Tonight was a great test for the Arctic Armor suit on Upper Red. Nine mile sled ride, drilled holes and hole hopped/kneeled on flooding ice for six hours and then a nine mile ride back across the lake in 10 degree weather. I stayed warm and comfy the entire time, used to be the ride back would do me in.”

"I wore my AA on the ice this afternoon and was nice and toasty. It was about 20 degrees with a 15 mph wind. I learned that ya don't put the AA bibs on in the house and then drive 10 miles to the lake. I probably looked like an idiot driving down the highway with my windows half way dowm.

"This morning our school was 2 hours late start because of wind chill conditions. I took advantage of the time and went out to shovel off the 3 inches of snow off the driveway. It was about 9 below with a 25 mile per hour breeze out of the N.W. so I figured I'd wear my Ice Armor. I have a long driveway... about 90 feet by 9 feet wide Plus have two sets of steps and some additional sidewalk to deal with... It took me about an hour and when I got done I was sweating my *** off. That stuff is warm. I just recently got mine and have been too sick to get out on the ice to fish with it. I am very happy to say that I am with out a doubt impressesd with that product. It blows my coveralls and multiple layers stratigy out of the water!”

"My friend powerstroke has a red suit and loves it, they look awesome for being on the ice. They seam to have a lot better quiality than the smurf suits as well.”

"The blue and gray suits are NOT Arctic Armor. Arctic Armor is warm, dry, lightweight, not bulky, and will float you if you go into the water. The blue and gray suits won't do that.”

"I just ordered mine and now i am kicking myself in the butt for not doing it sooner. The thought of using the old bib overalls and 10 layers of coats just isnt as appealing as it once was. Got my HSO Arctic Armor from OutdoorProStore.com so now am impatiently waiting(my fault totally).”

"I have had my suit on a couple of times in the last two weeks.
With this cold weather it has worked great.”

"The first time I tried it out I put on long underwear and a pair of jeans along with a long sleeved shirt and a sweat shirt.......WOW when we got to our fishing spot I needed to strip off the sweat shirt and take off my longjohns.”

"Great stuff and the best money I have spent in a long time.”

"For what its worth guys, this is my 3rd Winter wearing HSO Arctic Armor for nearly all my outdoor winter activities. I wear it in the summer a lot as well as raingear and for those cold nights in the boat. It's standing up very well.”

"After 3 years: no broken zippers, no split seams, no broken snaps, no rips, no tears, etc. If I gave them a good washing, it would almost pass for brand new.”

"My point: Arctic Armor is a good investment. Not only does it keep you super warm outside while ice fishing, it lasts. I fully expect 3-4 more years of use with my suit, heck maybe more.”

"Well i was finaly was able to purchase a artic armour plus suit XXXL bibs and XXL coat 6'2" 260 pounds i wore it sunday and its like you are a cacoon in that suit very nice”

"I am in my second season with mine and I like them. Overall warm and light and the whole floating thing of course.”

"I bought the camo jacket. Absolutely love it. I actually prefer the camo to the plus, it goes on and off easier. I hate it when the arms bunch up on my shirt when putting a jacket on, and you can't beat the camo pattern. Will work great in the duck blind.”

"I love mine! And the wife wanted me to get it since it floats. That's a win-win!”

"I had a very good experience and love the armor. On saturday i stood out in the rain and freezeing rain on the lake for about an hour just to give it a test and i stayed dry and warm, although I had to knock the ice off my back. This suit is awesome!”

"Over the past couple of weeks the new Arctic Armor suit has gotten a pretty decent workout in a variety of conditions. Now a review:

Without going into a life story, it may help to give some background as to the application.
The Variables:
Use a Shappell Rover 1.0 when it's windy and cold, don't use a shelter if it is above 25 or so. Never use a heater.
Don't usually fish more than 4-5 hours at a time. Don't move around a whole lot and don't punch a lot of holes, maybe 5-8 max with a Mora 6" hand auger.
The Product:
AA plus (green/black) bibs and parka. Under Armor top and bottom base layer, medium thickness poly/cotton top and bottom thermals, hoody top and sweatpants bottom. Then the AA suit.

The Conditions:

Day #1--25 degrees/windy/overcast/WC factor 12. No shelter and no complaints.

Day #2--18 degrees/light wind/sunny/WC factor 10. No shelter and no complaints.

Day #3--15 degrees/medium wind/partly sunny/WC factor 6. It was cold enough to sting the face. Shelter and warm for most of the day. Didn't move for the last 2 hours of a 5 hour day and started getting a little cold.

Day #4--22 degrees/windy/overcast/WC factor 9. Shelter and no complaints.

Day #5--2 degrees/windy/sunny/WC factor -15. Shelter and no complaints although the feet were cold and only stayed out about 3 hours because of the stupid Vikings game.

The Verdict:

AA seems to do as advertised and performs very well as many on this forum have suggested.

The fact that they float is of some comfort, but frankly it will probably never be an issue.

AA isn't priced right considering that they pretty much keep you warm, in the middle of winter, sitting on the ice, with a stiff wind blowing you around.

I got a large Arctic Armor suit and it fit very comfortably. It would be a little roomy without the layers, but all things considered, it was likely the best option unless a tailor was brought on board for a custom fit.

It also bears mentioning that the transaction took place approximately 4:30pm Thursday December 18, and the package was on the doorstep the following morning at approximately 9am.

It makes one think that it takes a fisherman to know the importance of getting something to your customer in time to use it that weekend!”

"Not sure whether anything could achieve a higher rating.”

"I was saying the same thing about CH last year on FM after buying an Extreme set of bibs and jacket. The only "extreme" I have found with this suit is the lack of comfort. When a CH suit becomes comfortable, it pretty much has to be worn out. I also do not know who designed the Extreme CH bibs, but they sure did not have ice fishing or men in mind . Let's just say when you need to go , you pretty much have to take the whole suit off. Another 3-4" on the bib zipper would have been nice . After using this suit for almost 2 ice season's and it being the same price pretty much as the AA suit, I needed to make a change. I will be straight forward; I did not want to fish one more season in a CH suit after the reviews from the members and staff here at FM.”

"Speed up to today and all I can say is WOW! After owning and using an Arctic Armor Plus suit for about a month now, I am extremely pleased with how it feels and the comfort it gives me on the ice. Was fishing in below 0 temps on Sunday night and this suit kept me as warm as one can get while loading and being outside. I tell ya, another huge down side to the CH suit is the beating your knee’s take while hole hopping outside. Early and late ice is the worst, as the soaking your knees takes is terrible. I feel having wet knees leads into sore knees. Late ice last season, I found my self unwilling no kneel down to a hole that held fish, after fishing a couple hours in CH suit. Now, with the Arctic Armor suit, the knees have "crazy” padding and are water proof. My knees have never felt better when I go to kneel down to a hole and check the action with my MarCum.”

"I bought mine from Outdoor Pro Store AA Suit Special Offer here at FM. The experience was great, shipping was fast and the advice on sizing was great. My suit fits perfect. If you have any questions on your order here at HOS/FM/IL, you get to deal with the legendary LeeHarvey (Tom). He knows his stuff when it comes to ordering and (lets just say after a couple changes I made in sizing after the order was placed) he was great to deal with .”

"The nice thing about these suits is that not only are they great for ice fishing , they make awesome outdoor wear for Spring and Fall Outdoor Fishing trips.”

"They double up as rain gear as well.”

"I always use the "gaiters" at the bottom of the leg. They keep out the slush.”

"I sure wasn't complaining about being toasty warm out on the driveway moving snow last night.”

"I agree, love the gaiters. Put them in your boots. Keeps you warmer and dryer.”

"Was loading up the fish house to get outta Dodge later today for the holiday weekend trip and the truck said –26. I put on my usual Columbia down jacket and started packing stuff away in the fish house tub, but holy cow, I was freezing! Finally I went inside and put on my Arctic Armor. Not brittle, not puffy, not cold. I was able to get everything done faster and without the discomfort. It looks like things are going to warm up a little but no matter if it was painfully cold or not I’m thankful I have an Arctic Armor suit for the weekend.”

"It’s a company motto but it really rings true when things get this dangerously cold out: Have a safe and fun weekend everyone but above all stay warm, stay dry, stay alive! Catch one for me.”

"I got a lucky Artic armour suit! Wore it for the first time last weekend in a tourny and won fisrt place for largest fish worth $1000.00! Oh by the way great suit it was -10 when we started fishing and stayed nice and warm.”

"HSO Arctic Armor is good stuff. The insultex in HSO Arctic Armor has the highest rated insulation value by weight of any thing used for clothing. Nothing even close to HSO Arctic Armor. Very Light-weight and asy to move with!!!”

"Add in the fact that it breathes and is waterproof much like Goretex and you quickly realize this is a three season suit that can be used as rain gear too.”

"Throw in the amazing property of flotation and you have a suit that can help keep you alive in a dangerous situation in the event you found yourself in cold water.”

"It is simply the best cold weather gear available and it's also the best three season outdoor wear for those cool possibly rainy days outdoors. Keeping you warm and dry.”

"Did I say it can double up as rain gear as well.”

"Yup I wear mine in the spring and fall as rain gear as well as on the ice. I love how wind proof it is when out in the boat and snowmobiling.”

"I like the suit so much that I bought a second one for my bride also in camo but it's the lighter in colour one . It's great how the suit can be utilized year round with comfort in mind for the active outdoorsman .”

"I archery hunt with my AA suit when the temps drop. Quiet enough to shoot a deer for sure.”

"I sat in the boat in the rain and cold and wind last night until about 11pm. Not once was I chilled. "

"AA is top 5 outdoor purchases for me. Maybe even top 3 and maybe even arguable the best.”

"I simply love it.”

"I love how light this stuff is, very easy to walk and move around. I used traditional insulated hunting bibs previously, and they were just too darn bulky.”

"My Arctic  Armour bibs and jacket way about half as much as my Carhart bibs.”

"Its well worth it. Nice thing about it, is you can go out in a t shirt!”

"I have used mine in the rain bow hunting and one time the jacket was soaked outside but I was dry inside the coat.”

"Last weekend I was bow hunting in the rain for about 1.5 hours and had zero issue with any rain getting through the jacket to the inside.”

"Thats the two times I have worn it in the rain.”

"I have also many times layed on the ice and snow while ice fishhing and have never had an issue with that either.”

"I do believe we have a winter catfishing show where one can see me lying on the ice catching channel cats. I do this quite often as its easier on my bad back.”

"Here is th show and towards the end one can see I'm lying by my snowmobile on the ice. I do that alot without getting cold or wet.”

"With the Arctic Armor suit, if you fall through the ice, you will float to help you get out. The Ice Armor will not do that. Thats a huge feature.”

"I sat outside up at the Brainerd contest last year for 6 hours. -20 temp good part of the day. Wore military poly long underwear, t shirt, jeans along with my Arctic Armor.
I didn't even start to get cold. Gotta love the AA!”

"Wimp.. I was on the ice last year at the Brainerd event from 6am till 5pm working for MarCum. That was flat out COLD.. The only way I survived was becasue of the Arctic Armor.”

"Just about what I do . If it gets that blustery I just hug my bride . LOL Yes wicking underwear most days ,a hoody sweater and bring jeans for days I know I'm going to be inside the otter and on those the AA come off because I have the heat on .”

"Even with an argument from some that praise the warmth and feel of other suits ,,,, it is a great suit that may save you in its day plus the quiet camo does work . :) and nobody can argue that safety factor . I do look after the camo special because tears are tears not that it has been an issue . I put alot of mileage on mine . LOL”

"The Artic Armour suit does not make me more ballsy to bust through and want a swim nor should it give anybody the security to think that you are Guarnteed to Live once your in the water . From our use, I think the odds are upped though if we are ever put in that situation . I learned and have been in some tight ones while alone and a long ways from help and wished a AA was available and one I had on . . Yes I'm still here before the AA suit , but heah some days were tight . LOL”

"I've used this suit to hunt ,fish, icefish and winter atv on . It has never had to save me but it has kept us warm and dry .”

"Well I just sold myself on the suit today. Even though it is a spendy bill, it would have been nice to have this morning. Thankfully I had my life jacket on. but on our way to our duck hunting spot we swamped the boat and then it capsized about 60 yards from shore. WE were all safe thank God, and were glad we had on our life jackets, but I am definitely going to be getting the suit mostly for the fact that it floats, and all the reviews on the warmth and the fact that it is Camo.”

"You will enjoy the warmth and safety of the Arctic Armor suit.”

"In a word--YES!! I don't care if you need to collect pop bottles to earn some extra $$$, do what you must to save up to buy this suit. You can't really put a price on a greatly higher percentage of odds that you may be able to survive falling through the ice. Plus, it's warm as he-double toothpicks too.”

"I have the camo suit, and I pretty much love it. I use it in the boat, duck hunting, snowblowing, and oh yeah...ice fishing. If I can think of one downside to the camo suit I'd say the knees don't have the additional padding the other color (red that I know of) has. When I'm on the lake in the winter and spending a lot of time on my knees the camo suit has a tendency to get little ice clumps on the knees. Would this stop me from getting the camo suit? No way. It's the only drawback I can think of so I posted it. Not too much of a drawback tho. Once swipe of the hand and the little ice clumps are gone.”

"Another vote for the camo. Can't afford more than the one suit so got the camo for more versitality. Cozy too.”

"Checked the camo suit out at the Ice show, Mos Def getting the Arctic Armor over the Ice Armor, the suit looks really cumfy and durable and warm plus it dbls as duck blind bibs plus I can use it for fishing... A+ in my book...”

"You'll love that suit...thats the one i got.”

"Just purchased my HSO AA Jacket and Bibs. Man oh man, I don't know if I could be any more excited. Can't wait until the day that they arrive, I guarantee that I will be wearing them out on the ice somewhere. Almost makes me want to stay off the ice until I get them. I can now say that I have my full ice fishing arsenal, this was the last item needed.”

"Yes, IDi Gear and many others have jumped into the water to test them. One TV station in Mankato had a reporter go to Madison lake and jump into the water with another IDi gear empolyee.”

"I will see if I can dig up some water footage for you.”

"I do not know if there is a certification rating for these as they are not Coast Guard approved, but they do work.”

"After reading this entire thread, I must purchase this suit.”

"Niterydr, you won't regret purchasing the AA suit. I pretty much use mine year around. Haven't taken my Cabela's rain gear out of the closet in the last 2 years.”

"If you are on the fence of getting this suit, I would say get it!
I have never been more comfortable on the ice since I got mine. I was up on Red earlier this year and was able to stay on the lake for 10 hours in the -10s without a heater, only thing that was cold was my face and feet.”
